This is a good read for business owners /leaders who are grappling with how to get their employees thinking more like owners.
This book provides some actionable items that any organization can take to transfer their company culture from one based on entitlement to one based on accountability. In implementing the suggestions documented in the book, the author claims that your employees will learn to think and act like owners and will become active participants in the financial performance of the business. I found the chapters on designing effective incentive plans and providing financial education to your employees particularly good. The author believes that organizations need to educate their employees on revenue and profit because, in the absence of information, people make stuff up. He provides some real-life examples which show that most employees have no idea how much profit their organization makes on revenue, and the vast majority will assume it is much more than it truly is.
