A good read for any leader.

This book speaks to today’s workforce and their expectations from work.  The first few chapters discuss the affect of family, economy, society and technology on work today.  The remainder of the book is dedicated to describing the six expectations of the new workforce, which have been identified by the authors as balance and synergy, work as a noble cause, personal growth and development, partnership, community at work, and trust.  The authors use real-life examples from organizations to portray each of these expectations in action.  What the book also reveals is that these expectations are not really new – employees have always wanted these things from work.  The only difference is now they are more proactive in voicing their demands.
